For so long, GL's attempts at youth-oriented story rested on the shoulders of Michelle and Bill, and generally fell flat. Now with an infusion of young, talented blood with the likes of Susan and Lizze and the stepped-up "Romeo and Juliet" tale of Danny and Michelle -- [these] star-crossed lovers shine --, GL has filled in the young end of the multi-generational spectrum nicely.

Danny and Michelle's love for one another is put to the test by the actions of family members, as well as "la familia." Will their love be strong enough to overcome their many obstacles?
Recently, Joie Lenz (Michelle, Guiding Light) confessed to Update that she can see what Michelle finds attractive in her mob prince husband, Danny. "He's so intense, so torn and emotional," she muses. "He's the kind of guy I'm totally attracted to. The one that's deeply intellectual and dark at the same time." We're guessing Guiding Light viewers weren't the only ones saddened when Danny asked Michelle for an annulment!
Danny & Michelle, Guiding Light ... In order to save her life, Danny and Michelle eloped, much to his mother's and her family's dismay. They needed to convince everyone that their marriage was for real, so they decided to have a big Catholic wedding with their family and friends in attendance. To lend some authenticity to the nuptials, Michelle agreed to wear the dress that Danny's mother and grandmother wore when they joined the family.
