"Cover Story: Guiding Light's Danny and Michelle - Oh Behave!" -- 3/1/99

After Guiding Light's Danny breaks Michelle out of the nut house this week, he makes plans to take her to San Cristobel. When the trip is postponed, Santos arranges something even better -- a private wedding ceremony for the two of them at Laurel Falls. The couple renew their vows, then spend the rest of the day consummating their marriage on a bed which Danny has set up in the woods.

According to Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny), Danny and Michelle make love not once, not twice, but eight or nine times. "Super-human feats are being performed in the middle of the forest," he jokes. "The biggest challenge was trying to come up with something new and interesting every time we had to get it on. How many different ways can you make out on-screen?"

While fans will be treated to a love fest, the taping of the actual scenes at the studio weren't quite as romantic. "We spent like three and a half hours in that bed," laughs Joie Lenz (Michelle). "We were so sick of it!"

"It's a lot of making sure the sheet stays in the right place," adds Stewart. "I think the crew got a glimpse of my underwear, but at that point we'd been on the set for three hours and I said, 'Who cares!' "
