Another striking aspect (that many have already pointed out) is how much this wedding/honeymoon has been about Michelle. Last winter, the emphasis was on Danny and what he wanted: Michelle and making this marriage work. That's what he repeatedly told Carmen, and Michelle, at pre-Cana, at the lighthouse, on their wedding day/night. With all the complaints about how their conversations this summer don't extend beyond how happy they are (of which I'm guilty :-)), I don't remember Danny saying it, first, if at all. It's not that he isn't, of course not, but Michelle seems to be the one who does all the exclaiming while Danny, figuratively speaking, is standing back, taking his enjoyment at how happy she is. It's been more about making her dreams come true, and less about his own wishes, unlike last winter. And I suspect this is how their (off-screen) love scenes are playing out as well.
Which brings me to how the "Soaps in Depth" spoiler was worded: "Michelle proves her love to him." We'll have to see how this actually plays out, but I'm hoping some of our unfulfilled expectations this summer will be met through this outcome, one of which would be Danny letting Michelle take the lead, take care of him, be more active in making him happy. It's only then that I think we'll be able to see some meaningful sharing. I think right now Danny's still at a stage where he's overwhelmed that Michelle actually loves him and doesn't dare express what he truly wants and dreams.
