"Danny's Wish"

By LizM

As someone who's also guilty of complaining about the simplicity of the dialogue for this couple lately ... I DID want to mention two lines that struck me a while back -- one, by Danny ...one, by Michelle .. and both relate to your comments, kristi.

It was Michelle who told Danny that she didn't want to live in the future and she "sure as hell didn't want to live in the past" -- she just wanted to live in the here and now ... and that's pretty much what they did in San Cristobal.

And, after the eyelash wish business during the little c, Michelle asked Danny what he wished for ... and he wouldn't tell her anything .. just said this was about HER wishes.

So, I think you are right, kristi, when you say these past few weeks have been about Danny making Michelle happy. Remember his silly grin when he asked how she liked the beach and again when he asked if she still thought she was dreaming? He has LOVED seeing her happy ... and I think that he hasn't thought far beyond this part of their life together or his wishes because, frankly, I think just having her at his side is more than anything he ever hoped for or expected! I'm thinking of that devastating scene with Carmen when he told her she had robbed both him (and Mick) of having a life with someone they could really love. In my view, THAT was Danny's wish and it just came true.
