"Misery Loves Company" -- 3/23/99

Last week, Danny set up Michelle by making her believe there would be a mob meeting on the docks. Michelle took the bait and contacted the FBI. At the last minute, she had a change of heart and tried to throw the FBI off the track, but it was too late. That doesn't seem to matter to Danny; he goes to Millennium to drown his sorrows.

[Meanwhile,] Jesse tells Drew she was adopted after Michelle gives him a letter she found in a box at Drew's. Drew goes to see Selena. "Selena tries to tell Drew the truth," Tammy Blanchard (Drew) explains, "but Drew says something that makes her stop again, like, 'I'm going to kill my real mom.' Once again, Drew doesn't shut up."

After leaving Selena, Drew runs into Danny at Millennium. "They decide to get drunk and drown all their sorrows together," Blanchard says. "They are feeling really lonely, and it is a desperate time, and they want to feel loved. They need someone, and they happen to be going through much the same thing. They have been lied to. So they end up making each other feel better."

But what about Jesse? According to Blanchard, he's still very much the object of Drew's affection. "She doesn't have any feelings for Danny at all. She just needed someone there at the time, and Danny was there. Now she doesn't think that he is some crazy gangster guy, because they talk a little and she gets to know him a little better. But she is still all the way in love with Jesse. what happens between her and Danny doesn't change her mind."
