First we have that now famous Phillip and Harley/Michelle scene with Harley talking about how having a baby so young limits your choices in life, alters the direction of your life forever, etc. Then there's Michelle sauntering past in the background, but the camera has panned back to follow her movements as well. I agree with Tracee in that I think this scene sets up definite foreshadowing for Manny, but I don't believe it will be a Drew's baby. I think that Michelle may have to confront the prospect of a Manny baby instead.

Then we have all of Michelle's, Danny's, Rick's, Bill's references to her going back to school, to her becoming a doctor, to her establishing her career path, yada yada yada. As Kristi said in chat, if you tuned in at all this week, you would know that Michelle wants to be a doctor. The whole world knows that Michelle wants to be a doctor, that she has decided to go back to school. Yes, Michelle we get it already.

Then we have this almost reunion spoiler business. I think that its entirely possible that Manny will consummate their relationship this month, but be separated again by something -- I don't think the thing that separates them is nearly as important as the separation itself. I think that the "almost" reunion means that they don't actually ride off into the sunset yet, but that they definitely take their relationship to another level, i.e. the horizontal bop.

Then, we have to have a reason to bring them back together after yet another near miss. My thinking ties all of these seemingly random things together to mean a Manny baby. We have the foreshadowing of the Phillip/Harley talk, we have Michelle having to wrestle with the surprise, burden, and joy of an unplanned baby while shaken out of the firm resolve that was her plan to pursue her educational goals and dreams. And last but not least, a baby would definitely be a catalyst to bringing them back together. Just can't see Danny tolerating having his pregnant wife settled at the Bauers while he is all alone in his bed at Casa Santos.

To further this point, I think that a Manny baby would be the one and only thing that would prevent Carmen from going through with her plans to off Michelle. I think a full-memoried Danny will know this, and their baby, or the prospect of that baby, may be the thing which will actually give him some peace about the constant looming threat of his mother harming Michelle.
