What is this aura exactly? I'm not sure how to describe it, but I will try. Have any of you noticed how both Stewart and Lenz seem happy? I don't mean just the characters, but I mean the actors. I know they are acting in character; however, there are certain little jokes between them, like the "chocolate scene" and the Austin Power lines, that just make me pay instant attention. Both Stewart and Lenz give me the impression that they love to laugh every bit as much as they enjoy entertaining us. For some reason, I can sense that wonderful trait through their scenes and their interviews. And, it's something else to admire about them.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really, really am enjoying the happiness of Manny like I've never done with any other couple. I know that there is always the fear of boredom whenever a couple is happy. And, I understand that, especially from the concept of a writer and a soap viewer. There MUST be conflict to keep the interest alive. But, it's amazing to me that in the midst of Manny's happiness, my interest is alive because of the wonderful interaction of the two co-stars. Seeing Danny rub Michelle's behind up and down and Michelle sharing her "secret (spots, mind you, not just secret, but secret spots )" reminds me just how special and, frankly, rare this couple is. On top of that, I'm loving seeing them learn new things about each other. :)
I'm going to miss this closeness of Manny's when the danger faces them, whichever way it comes. I'm going to treasure these special scenes for Manny. I know I'm going to enjoy the angst, because Stewart and Lenz are very good at it. It's just that they are also very good at lightheartedness, which is refreshing at the same time.
