"The 'Why' of the 'Little C'"

By LizM

The only answer I could come up with as to why we've had no passionate, intense love scene between these two is that TPTB are deliberately withholding it for a future time (even though this is a risky proposition with fans as impatient as they are these days).

I believe the writers figured they needed justification for a real passionate love scene. In other words, as Airpoet so eloquently put it, the writers are probably "waiting for that sense of desperation and that feeling of possible separation or death around the corner to have Danny and Michelle on that bed."

Which probably explains this whole silliness of Danny flying Josh to San Cristobel and not returning and Michelle going down there to get him out of some danger etc. Being separated, with danger lurking nearby ... perhaps the writers feel that is what can put a sense of urgency and passion into their lovemaking.

Because, in reality, once Danny and Michelle admitted they cared for each other (the Lighthouse scenes), that edge really was gone from the story. The fact is, I think we all really wanted to see the guy get lucky and seduce Michelle a long time ago. Well, they didn't go that route. And lovey-dovey does not lead to rip-off-the-clothes type of passion. SO my guess is they're still trying to find the right justification for that kind of scene.

The big question is: how many viewers have they lost and will they keep losing until they find that justification?
