"Danny steals electronics from another family," Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny) explains. "He's trying to stake some claim for himself in the family. It's a big power play, and it comes right on the heels of finding out that Michelle turned him into the FBI, so Danny's in a real low point in his life. I think he realizes that he was an idiot to think that he could walk away from his life, from his family. He is desperately trying to feel powerful in any way he can. So he starts doing some deals on his own, and gets caught."

A furious Carmen hires Ben to help Danny. A bad situation becomes worse when Pilar, who has been kept in the dark about the family business, goes to the police station. "All hell breaks loose," Saundra Santiago (Carmen) teases, "you might see Carmen falling apart for the first time." Stewart adds, "Danny secretly wants his sister to find out the truth so that he isn't alone in this. He just feels very alone right now. It's very much him against the world."
