New GL Couple Sizzles ... March 16, 1999
"Once a boring character, whose scenes I just fast-forwarded through. GL's Michelle has taken on a new life. With the addition of Joie Lenz to the show as well as a new story with Danny and Michelle's marriage, I'm now loving it. When I started watching GL two years ago, I had no interest in Michelle and Jesse. Where were the sparks, the chemistry? It was just not there. Now when I turn on GL, my screen is lit up with fireworks between Michelle and Danny. This love/hate relationship between Danny and Michelle has to be one of the best going on GL. When Paul Anthony Stewart and Joie Lenz are on screen together, they sizzle.
I really like the pairing of Michelle and Danny. The characters have a lot of chemistry and the actors work well in their scenes together. The new Michelle just didn't fit with Jesse, and I never cared for the Jesse/Michelle story in the first place. Michelle and Jesse were a "blah" couple, unlike Drew and Jesse, who are much better suited for each other. I really hope that Guiding Light keeps Michelle and Danny together. It would be great to see her actually fall in love with him. Keep up the good work, GL.
An Incredible Love Story ... March 16, 1999
What a great thing GL had done by putting Michelle and Danny together. Not only do Joie Lenz and Paul Anthony Stewart look good together, they really click in their scenes. The storyline has many different possibilities: Michelle can find herself falling in love with Danny, and Drew could finally get her wish to be with Jesse. It will be interesting to see all the twists an turns that this storyline takes. I'm looking forward to watching it unfold. I think it's going to be an incredible love story.
