When Michelle and Danny first wed, Rick was understandably upset to learn that had the nuptials not occurred, his sister would have been killed by her husband's Mafia clan. Later, upon seeing how much in love the newlyweds were, Rick mellowed toward Danny. Then -- curses! -- a bomb scare made Rick determined to end the relationship.

When Michelle wouldn't listen to reason, Rick had her admitted to the psychiatric ward. Bad move, bud. It only got Michelle madder than a bat out of hell before she took off on a foreign jaunt. Meanwhile, Rick has plenty of time to spend licking his wounds since he's been suspended from Cedars for misuing his medical authority.
