Drew was much more rattled by Danny's comment, very nervous about how things would derail. Two slightly different reactions but very telling, in my opinion, of both characters (especially Michelle) and their understanding of (or lack thereof in Drew's case) Danny. I took Michelle's little snort and the way she made her exit as her way of saying to herself (or telling Danny, or both) that she would not be part of this provocation act, that she wouldn't expose herself to it, you know, her way of saying "If you wanna provoke him, go ahead and provoke him, but don't expect me to stay and watch it."
And she was right, her leaving took the fun out of it, which is why Danny went away for that drink. She defused a potentially explosive situation (okay, not that explosive, I can't give TWV that much credit) just by leaving. And I cheered her for it, as that was the mature way to go. This young woman, who reminded me of Vanessa at that moment, hates scenes or making scenes in public. Whereas Drew ... okay, I'll stop.
Either way, another great scene from both Joie Lenz and Paul Anthony Stewart showing why Manny's a match for each other.
