"Supercouples ... What are They and Why Danny and Michelle Have the Potential to be One"

In order to be a supercouple, a couple must have a magic that surrounds. When they are in the same room, the audience has to be able to feel the tension, the electricity. Usually there is an element of danger and adventure, numerous hurdles and obstacles are thrown in the couple's way, but deep down everyone knows that they belong together. A supercouple has to stand apart, they have to have an identity and a charm all their own. They can't be propped up by a triangle, or family ties. Some invincible bond has to exist between two characters that, for whatever reason, seem destined for each other.
While I don't think Danny and Michelle are a supercouple yet, they definitely have potential. They have the danger-adventure aspect with Danny's mob ties. There is nothing safe or secure about their relationship; it is risky, passionate and that makes it all the more exciting to watch. They have chemistry galore, already when Michelle and Danny are in a room together everyone else seems to disappear (witness the Millenium scenes on Friday). What remains to be seen is if they have staying power.
Can they stay this fresh, this electric for years? They have only been together for a few short months, can they retain their charm once the conflict is lessened between them? We'll see, but I'm betting, yes. Paul Anthony Stewart and Joie Lenz are immensely talented, and in my opinion, it is the actors that breathe life into a love story. No writer can create or destroy chemistry between people and Stewart and Lenz are magic together.
