When Danny gave Josh his word on Wed.not to tell even Michelle, I believe Danny meant to keep it simply because Danny understood both how Josh felt about his wife and how Michelle felt about Jeva. He instinctively knew that Michelle would have wanted to help if she could. I think he also knew that he needed to keep it from our lovely heroine lest she decide to become the Pink Power Ranger. Danny is a man of his word, but our hero found out that giving his word and keeping something from Michelle when looking into her beautiful brown eyes was another thing. His agony over his deception was poignant. We have to remember that until Michelle Danny was used to living life on his own terms, and the partnership of marriage is new to him. As all of us old marrieds know this weaving of wills takes time, love and careful negotiation. What a treat to watch it unfold.

I love it when Manny is surrounded by the chaotic forces of the world. When they were discussing his leaving, Michelle desperately wanted to know what he was doing. Yet even asking about the family business or any business dealings has to be a delicate subject for them as the last time she was so concerned, she betrayed him to the FBI. Michelle felt uncomfortable asking, but she had to know because her imagination was killing her. Notice how she instinctively knows when to press him and when to back off. Some couples take years to learn this tactic.

The scene when Danny, angry and frustrated with Michelle for not simply believing him and accepting what he was telling her, was sitting on the bed was priceless. I know Danny doesn't know it yet, but our favorite heroine is not going to be the good little wife he has envisioned. In the midst of what could have escalated into a major newlywed fight, Michelle did what she always does when the world spins out of control around them ... she took his face in her hand and turned him to look into her eyes and ...CLICK ... the Manny magic happened. Everytime I see this exchange of theirs, it takes my breath away. It is that connection into the souls of one another that we adore. I knew at that moment that there would be no silly soap secrets between these two and Danny would tell her the truth because he had to do so. Manny is unlike any soap couple ever, but we've known it all along. Ah! Today in Mannyland is quite all right.
