The Rustle of the Sheets . . .
Essay #150
"Yesterday was about Romance and Discovery"
(The
'Laurel Falls' Consummation)By Essie
I do believe that TPTB need to be careful that Manny doesn't fall into the "dangerous pit of boring," but I think yesterday was about romance and discovery. You're right, too, that Danny was touching and looking at Michelle like he couldn't believe this was actually happening; so in effect, when he made her "childhood" dream come true, he made his own dream of being with Michelle come true. It was very sweet and romantic.
I also had a thought after Friday's vows, and why Danny's were longer. I don't know if I'm on the right track here, but I couldn't help but think back to when Michelle was talking to Meta and she said something about a relationship working better when the man is just a little more in love than the woman. I think this could be true in this case, as seen by his vows and her lack thereof; and by the fact that he said he knew that he's always been in love with her. I don't doubt that she loves him, I just think that right now he loves her just a little bit more. And that's what they need right now.
