Do You Know How Much I Love You?
By Amethyst

When I first came to Springfield,
It was to find who killed my brother.
Then I learned that it was you,
So your tracks, I did cover.

I knew mama would kill you,
She'd try to take your life.
The only way to save you,
Was to say that you're my wife.

You weren't happy with this arrangement,
I knew that from the start.
I know that you tried really hard,
Not to let me into your heart.

Still I figured I could trust you,
Thought you'd never lie.
Until that day you had confessed,
To calling the F.B.I.

That revelation crushed me,
I believed that we were through.
That's why I got really wasted,
And why I slept with Drew.

I tried hard to forget you,
I tried to set you free.
You tried to get back with your old flame,
But instead you thought of me.

When we met at the Lighthouse,
You begged for me to stay.
But I was still very much in pain,
And so I ran away.

I had my lawyer draw up papers,
So I could move on with my life.
But you refused to sign them, saying
You still wanted to be my wife.

I brought you to the park,
And told you my life story.
And although I hated seeing you cry,
I couldn't say I'm sorry.

Then my mother got me,
A job that was out of town.
I figured with us no longer together,
There was nothing to keep me around.

I called my mother on the car phone,
And told her to leave you be.
Overheard her plans to kill you,
And began racing at top speed.

My goal was to save you,
So in my car, I made a mad dash.
But a driver's brights blinded me,
And caused my car to crash.

You came to me at Cedar's,
I woke up and saw you there.
You held my hand as I came to,
Your voice was filled with care.

You then brought me to the Lighthouse,
And told me not to worry.
You said, "To keep your mother away from you,
I had to sign you out in a hurry."

My mother soon after showed up,
Tried to drag me home.
She called Dietz to come help her,
I got angry and threw the phone.

When my mother realized I'd found her out,
She denied everything and began to shout.
"You think Danny belongs to you?
Then why is it that he slept with Drew?"

I ordered her to leave and stay out of my life,
But the damage was already done, and I felt the strife.
You asked me upfront if what you'd heard was true,
You were really furious when I'd admitted I'd slept with Drew.

You went out and got hammered,
You even started to flirt.
With some local frat boys you partied,
To avoid all of your hurt.

I spotted you there,
And carted you home.
I tried to get you to talk,
But you said, "Leave me alone."

No matter how hard you tried,
To keep pushing me away.
I told you to kick, scream, or bite me,
I was still gonna stay.

You tried then to seduce me,
While you still were loaded.
When I refused all of your advances,
You got mad and exploded.

You broke down and cried,
You started to sob.
"I can't be with you Danny, 'cause you're part of a mob."

I realized then that I really loved you,
And swore I'd change if you wanted me to.

Today, here we are,
Starting our new life.
With I, as your husband,
And you, as my wife.

I swear, Michelle, I love you,
With all of my heart.
And from this day forward,
We will never part.
